No. 5 [Lower Hangar] Deck. Interior of the hangar, looking to starboard from the vicinity of frame 95. Miscellaneous aircraft maintenance equipment can be seen stowed on deck. To the right of these are a radar cooling point, low pressure air point and a liquid oxygen dispensing point. The doorway in the centre leads towards access lobby 5KI-00.

This is part of a series of photographs taken during the final stages of HMS Ark Royal's last major refit which was completed in 1970. The location references are derived from the deck plans in the latest edition of the ship's NBCD book.
