V Beach at Cape Helles on the Gallipoli peninsula. The photographer is looking towards the cliffs at the west side of the landing beach. Two small stone walls project into the water in the foreground. The wreck of a wooden boat is on the upper part of the beach. This is the beach where the Dublin Fusiliers landed from the converted collier River Clyde (1905) on 25 April 1915.
