The North Beach of Anzac Cove, north of Gaba Tepe, on the Gallipoli peninsula. The photographer is looking south along the coast to Hell Spit. The beach is deserted but at the top of the beach is a concrete structure with Anzac Cove painted on it. The coast road is on the left. On 25 April 1915 four Australian and one New Zealand Infantry Brigades and one Indian Mountain Artillery Brigade landed at Anzac Cove north and south of Hell Spit.
