Signal Hill and the water catchment area on the east side of Gibraltar. The photographer is on board the P. & O. passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) which is in the Alboran Sea next to the rock and he is looking aft and to port from the centreline above the aft promenade deck. A number of passengers and two of the ship's crew are standing at the rail. A vertical format negative.
