The photographer is on board the P. & O. passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) which is in the Alboran Sea next to the rock and he is looking aft and to port from the centreline above the aft promenade deck. A number of passengers and one of the ship's crew are standing at the rail and the motor tender lettered A is standing on chocks on the deck. A vertical format negative.
