A gathering of the combined British Fleets in the harbour and bay at Gibraltar.

Royal Navy ships crowded into the harbour and the bay at Gibraltar. The photographer is on the slope above the Alameda Gardens looking north-west showing five destroyers alongside the Ordnance Wharf, the two hulks Hart (1883) and Cormorant (1877) alongside the Coaling Island and the battlecruiser Hood (1918), a Leander class light cruiser and a London class heavy cruiser alongside the Detached Mole. At anchor or moored in the harbour are a Royal Fleet Auxiliary Leaf class oiler, two Leander class light cruisers, a London class heavy cruiser, two D and one C class light cruisers, 17 destroyers and the fleet supply ship Reliant (1923). Four Royal Sovereign class battleships are at anchor in the Bay of Gibraltar. This is a copy negative of a photographic print.
