The east side of Gibraltar from on board the P. & O. passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) which is passing into the Alboran Sea. Windmill Hill is on the left, the rainwater catchment area can clearly be seen on the slopes below Signal Hill and Willis Battery peak is on the right. The photographer is on the centreline at the aft end of the promenade deck looking forward and to port showing a number of people at the ship's rail looking through binoculars. The motor tender lettered A is in the left foreground.
