The American Shed on the Stigbergskajen at Gothenburg, Sweden. The photographer is on board the Swedish-America Line passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) on the Gota Alv approaching the quay which is crowded with sightseers. Four large cranes are on the quayside. The Sjomanstornet (seaman's tower monument erected in 1933) and the steeple of the Masthugg Church are in the background.
