A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) anchored off Funchal, Madeira. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she is flying the Blue Peter flag from the port yardarm on her foremast. A number of local bumboats and other craft are close alongside her hull. The photographer is on board a Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship looking aft and to port from the port side above the boat deck showing lifeboat number 4 swung out and lifeboat numbers 6 and 6A under their straight arm davits. Negative number P84302 was taken on the same occasion.
