The Gota Alv in Gothenburg, Sweden. The photographer is looking east-north-east from alongside the American Shed on the Stigbergskajen showing the craneage on the steam coaster Electra (1919) of Bremen, seen from astern, alongside the Masthuggskajen with a 2-masted auxiliary motor schooner outboard and another steamship ahead. The motorship Lagaholm (1929) is in the right foreground with a number of wooden lighters and a steam tug outboard of her. The tug's name which starts with F and ends with Z is on the funnel. The tower of Christinae Church is in the centre background. The clock tower and time ball on the Kvarnberget Navigation School and Signal Station is on the skyline on the left and a ship is in a floating dock on the extreme left. A vertical format negative.
