The vessels are berthed stern-on to the quay and the Lady Dove is seen from off her port beam. Rowing boats, including one named Victory, are in the foreground with a lighter laden with a bagged cargo next to them. Another 2-masted schooner is berthed broadside on to the quay in the background. A number of people are on the quayside.
