The harbour and town at St. George's on the island of Grenada
The harbour and town at St. George's on the island of Grenada. The photographer is looking west from high ground to the east showing the harbour enclosed by the town. Fort George is in the centre background with the four spired tower of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and the castellated clock tower of the Anglican Church to the right. The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception is on the right. A wooded hillside is in the foreground. At anchor in St. George's Bay in the background, and all seen from off the starboard beam, are the Canadian National Steamships passenger/cargo liner Lady Drake (1928), the White Star Line passenger cruise ship Britannic (1930) and the Royal Navy cadet training cruiser Frobisher (1920). The cruiser has a full set of awnings rigged.
