The passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) anchored at Hammerfest, Norway.

A very distant starboard quarter view of the passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in Hammerfest harbour, Norway. The photographer is looking west-by-north from the slopes of the Sadlen overlooking the residential area at the west end of Hammerfest. The island of Sörö is in the background. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
