On board the passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) anchored in Hammerfest harbour, Norway. The photographer is on the port side of the games deck aft, looking aft showing the motor tender lettered A on chocks on the deck. Amongst the buildings on the north side of the harbour is reputedly the northernmost church in Norway. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
