A distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) at anchor off Abbazia, Italy. She has her starboard anchor deployed, an accommodation ladder is rigged to her main deck aft and she is flying the Blue Peter flag at the port yardarm on the foremast. Lifeboat number 19 has been launched and small boat is lying next to her ladder. The photographer is on shore showing a small jetty with a leading light at the end of it and on the the Orford's boats is coming alongside it to pick up passengers. A two-masted lugsail rigged boat is alongside the quay in the right foreground. Negatives numbers P84311 to P84314 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
