The harbour at Hammerfest, Norway.

The harbour at Hammerfest, Norway. The photographer is looking south-west across the harbour showing three small steamships, the stripped hulk of a small sailing ship and a number of motor fishing vessels. One of the fishing vessels is registered T32G. The buildings are all constructed of wood and include warehouses occupied by Feddersen & Nissen. The Parish Church is in the centre of the picture. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
