The harbour and the passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) at Hammerfest, Norway.
The harbour at Hammerfest, Norway. The photographer is looking north-north-west across the harbour showing motor fishing vessels and two coastal passenger/cargo steamships at moorings. Two of the fishing vessels are registered F.28.S and F.13H. In the background and seen from abaft her starboard beam is the Swedish-America Line passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928). A warehouse building on wooden piling is on the left. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
