The east side of the town at Hammerfest, Norway.
The east side of the town at Hammerfest, Norway. The photographer is looking north-by-west from the zig-zag footpath up the north end of the Sadlen. A coastal passenger/cargo steamer is alongside the east quay. The steeple of St. Michael's Church is to the left of centre and a reindeer is on the road in the left foreground. All of the buildings are constructed of wood. The northern mountains of Klavo are in the background.
