A smallholding on the coast at Hammerfest, Norway. The property comprises a sentry box style building and a small group of buildings which includes a sheep shed. Dilapidated wooden fencing encloses the land and two sheep are roaming. The photographer is looking seaward and the island of Sörö is in the background. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
