A bow view of two Nordland boats hauled up on shore between buildings on the west side of the harbour at Hammerfest, Norway. The photographer is looking across the harbour showing the waterfront warehouses and houses on the east side at the north end of the town. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
