In the centre is the Parish Church and in the foreground is the shop of Herreekviperingen. On the left is the Hammerfest Groceri & Farvehandel. All of the buildings are of wooden construction. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived. A vertical format negative.
