A motor fishing vessel in the harbour at Hammerfest, Norway.

A slightly distant port quarter view of a motor fishing boat moored and anchored in the harbour at Hammerfest, Norway. The photographer is looking east-north-east across the harbour from the shore showing a small rowing boat drawn up on the beach next to a wooden piled structure. Two coastal passenger/cargo steamers are alongside in the harbour. The north end of the Sadlen is in the background to the right of centre and the northern mountains of Klavo are in the left background. All of the buildings are of wooden construction. The town of Hammerfest was totally destroyed by German forces in early 1945 and none of the buildings in this photograph survived.
