The harbour entrance at Havana, Cuba
The Canal de Entrada (harbour entrance channel) at Havana, Cuba. The photographer is looking south from Morro Castle (Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro) across the Canal de Entrada (harbour entrance channel) to the main part of the city. In the foreground are five muzzle loading cannons on pivot mountings. An unidentified tug is towing a rubbish lighter out of the harbour. The buildings on the west side of the entrance are very slightly out of focus and on the right is the Hotel Biscuit.
