In the right background is the dome of the Uspenski Eastern Orthodox Cathedral on Katajanokka Island and in the harbour beyond is one of the Finnish Navy coast defence ships, either the Väinämöinen (1930) or the Ilmarinen (1931). In the centre background is theTuomiokirkko Lutheran Cathedral in Senate Square in the Kruununhaka district.
