Sampans and small junks in Aberdeen harbour, Hong Kong

Sampans and small fishing junks in Aberdeen harbour, Hong Kong Island. The photographer is on the quayside looking across the harbour. A number of large wooden pails and some ten gallon drums are on the edge of the quay. Many of the junks have hoisted their fishing nets to dry and a small steamer is almost hidden in amongst the other craft. This negative was taken during a world cruise by the Cunard Line ship Franconia (1923).
