The photographer is on the jetty looking back showing a large number of the ship's crew lining the side of the track waiting to assist the passengers to transfer to the ship from the Orient Line special train which is pulling in, hauled by an L.N.E.R. 4-6-0 locomotive with the number 1274. The locomotive has the headcode 126. The loading steps and ramps are in the foreground. The ship is preparing for a cruise to Norway.
