The photographer is on the jetty near the stern of the ship looking forward. The stern of the ship is out of the picture. A special train hauled by the L.N.E.R. B7 class 4-6-0 locomotive number 5073 with the headcode 392 has brought passengers to Immingham for a 13 day cruise to Norway or a 20 day cruise to Baltic capitals and Norway. Members of the ship's crew are lined up along the platform to assist passengers to transfer from the train to the ship. A temporary telegraph office has been erected on the jetty.
