A port side view of the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orontes (1929) alongside the East Jetty at Immingham, Lincolnshire. The photographer is on the jetty near the stern of the ship looking forward. The stern of the ship is out of the picture. A special train hauled by an L.N.E.R. locomotive has brought passengers to Immingham for a 13 day cruise to Norway or a 20 day cruise to Baltic capitals and Norway. Members of the ship's crew are assisting passengers to transfer from the train to the ship. A temporary telegraph office has been erected on the jetty and a police sergeant is in the foreground.
