An Orient Line passenger cruise ship alongside the East Jetty at Immingham, Lincolnshire.
A port side view of an Orient Line passenger cruise ship, either the Orford (1928) or the Orontes (1929), alongside the East Jetty at Immingham, Lincolnshire. The photographer is on the jetty near the stern of the ship looking forward. The stern of the ship is out of the picture. A special train is alongside the platform having brought passengers for a 13 day cruise to Norway or a 20 day cruise to Baltic capitals and Norway. Battery driven luggage trucks are in the foreground and dock workers are loading baggage onto a sling for hoisting abord the ship. A wooden packing case marked "Keep dry. Porcelain with care. Made in Japan" is on the jetty.
