Ships Cover for the coastguard cruisers HMS Fanny (1860), HMS Cuckoo [ex-Emerald, ex-Colleen Old, ex-Colleen, ex Amelia, ex-Hawk] (1869), HMS Hind (1880), HMS Rose (1880), HMS Undine [ex-Hawk, ex-Oberon, ex-Lady Aline] (1888), HMS Fanny [ex-Otter] (1902), HMS Squirrel (1904) and HMS Julia [ex-Maretanza] (1901). In addition there is also material relating to the survey vessels HMS Lark (1880), HMS Harrier (1881) and HMS Undine [ex-Morna] (1881); the tender HMS Columbine [ex-Hiarta] (1897); and the base ship HMS Vivid [ex-Capercailzie] (1891). The documentation mainly relates to the acquisition and fitting of these ships for service, and later alteration including changes of name.
