Ships Cover for HMS Squirrel (1904) and HMS Argus (1904)

Ships Cover for the coastguard cruisers HMS Squirrel (1904) and HMS Argus (1904). Some reference is made to the vessels on which their designs were based ie HMS Fanny (1902) and HMS Julia (1901) respectively. This cover relates to the design, building, completion and immediate post-trials phase for these ships, and prior to receiving their names they are referred to in most of the correspondence as 'New Fanny' and 'New Julia'.
