Ship Cover for the Admiralty dockyard tugs HMS Aetna (1883), HMS Camel (1866), HMS Carron (1867), HMS Dromedary (1894), HMS Escort (1873), HMS Hasty (1867), HMS Hearty [ex-Indra] (1885), HMS Magnet (1883, purchased 1885), HMS Malta (1875), HMS Meteor (1883), HMS Perseverance (1875), HMS Sampson (1877), HMS Seahorse (1880), HMS Stormcock [not Traveller] (1882), HMS Traveller [ex-Stormcock] (1885), HMS Trusty (1866) and HMS Woodcock (1885). The level of documentation varies greatly from vessel to vessel, but common subjects include stability calculations, dimensions, weights, fittings and crew allocation. Later alterations allowing vessels to perform alternate roles such as survey work are covered by papers relating to Hearty (especially in anticipation of conflict in the North Sea circa 1909/10), Magnet and Traveller. The documents and correspondence begin circa May 1872 for the earliest items and end around February 1913.
