The Forester class copmposite gunboat HMS Foxhound (1877) is also represented briefly for comparative purposes in one document. The documentation mainly relates to the original design and armament specifications, allocated armament and ammunition supply, masts and yards and assigned crew complement. The oldest documents are the initial design statements frm December 1880, while the last ones are from February 1884 which marked the completion of Albacore.
