Ships Cover for the Mersey class second class cruisers HMS Forth (1886) and HMS Thames (1885), covering their period of service as submarine depot ships. The documentation includes schemes of complement, stability calculations and allocation of boats, but the majority relates to alterations made and condition reports submitted at various times. In terms of date range, the earliest papers commence in August 1904 and the last end in July 1919.
