Ships Cover for the Scout class torpedo cruisers HMS Fearless (1886) and HMS Scout (1885). The documentation mainly relates to detailed stability calculations and accompanying diagrams, the early design for this class including a small sketch plan, statements of dimensions and weights, scheme of complemetn, trials and manoeuvreing reports, and details of later refits, both proposals and those actually carried out. The papers start in August 1883 at the beginning of the design phase and end in January 1905 when Fearless was paid off into reserve.
