Ships Cover for the Nymphe class composite screw sloops HMS Buzzard (1887), HMS Daphne (1888) and HMS Nymphe (1888). The documentation mainly relates to statements of dimensions and weights, dimensions of masts and yards, allocated armament and ammunition, cost estimates, stability calculations, and stores. Paperwork of note includes correspondence relating to successive designs to follow this class dated 1886, correspondence relating to alterations made to the Nymphes while building and also their classification as gunvessels or sloops, trials reports for Buzzard and Daphne, and some details of 20th Century alterations. The earliest documents are dated February 1886 shortly before Buzzard's keel was laid, and ends in July 1905 by which point Buzzard was a drill ship, Daphne had been sold and Nymphe was a base ship.
