Ships Cover for HMS Blake (1889) and HMS Blenheim (1890).

Ships Cover for the Blake class first class protected cruisers HMS Blake (1889) and HMS Blenheim (1890) following authorisation for their conversion to destroyer depot ships. The documents mainly relate to the proposals for this conversion, finalised details and alterations made throughour the process, armament arrangement, ammunition allowance and ship's equipment, oil, victual and weapon storage capacities, crew complement, the number of destroyers to be supported and associated requirements, and a new set of weight statements and stability calculations. The documents commence inFebruary 1906 and conclude in March 1921 as both ships were nearing the end of their service in this capacity.
