Ships Cover for the Apollo class second class protected cruisers HMS Aeolus (1891), HMS Andromache (1890), HMS Apollo (1891), HMS Brilliant (1891), HMS Indefatigable (1891), HMS Intrepid (1891), HMS Iphigenia (1891), HMS Latona (1890), HMS Melampus (1890), HMS Naiad (1890), HMS Rainbow (1891), HMS Sappho (1891), HMS Scylla (1891), HMS Sirius (1890), HMS Spartan (1891), HMS Terpsichore (1890) and HMS Thetis (1890). The documentation mainly relates to statements of weights for stores and equipment, alterations made to the gun armament, weapon trials, condition reports, details of repairs carried out and stability calculations. The papers commence in October 1912 and end in May 1917. There is no material relating to the Zeebrugge and Ostend raids, in which five of the class were employed.
