Ships Cover for the 30-knot torpedo boat destroyers (1894-1899). The documentation comprises proposals and work progress reports for the TBDs, correspondence with the building contractors, armament proposals and accepted suites with ammunition allowance, ships fittings including boats, propellers, machinery, masts and yards, schemes of complement, steam, steering and water trials, coal endurance, condition reports, stability calculations and some details of paint schemes. The papers commence in July 1894 and end in September 1917, by which point the surviving vessels were engaged in second-line duties.
