Ships Cover for the Pearl class third class protected cruisers HMS Katoomba [ex-Pandora] (1889), HMS Mildura [ex-Pelorus] (1889), HMS Pallas (1890), HMS Pearl (1890), HMS Phoebe (1890), HMS Philomel (1890), HMS Ringarooma [ex-Psyche] (1889), HMS Tauranga [ex-Phoenix] (1889) and HMS Wallaroo [ex-Persian] (1890). The documentation comprises elements of the initial design proposals, building and alterations costs, statements of dimensions and weights, correspondence with the contractors, alterations made during the class's service lives, schemes of complement, ships fittings - primarily details of anchors, details of torpedo stowage arrangements, reports from steam, turning and performance trials and stability calculations. The papers cover a significant proportion of the class's active service life, with the earliest papers dating from January 1894 and the last ones December 1901.
