Ships Cover for the Royal Yacht Victoria & Albert (1899). This Cover is primarily concerned with the design stages of the ship, and comprises numerous documents pertaining to the design discussions as well as the final design descriptions/specifications, cost estimates, some details of ship's fittings and equipment, correspondence with contractors, coal endurance data, schemes of complement and stability calculations. The last coherent documents are reports of the vessel's performance during steaming trials. The earliest papers date from January 1897 and the last from September 1900.
