Ships Cover for the Bramble class steel gunboats HMS Bramble, HMS Britomart, HMS Dwarf and HMS Thistle (1898/9). The documentation mainly comprises the initial design proposals, stability calculations, statements of dimensions and estimates of weights, schemes of complement, correspondence with the contractors, including London & Glasgow Co., details of the armament, ships fittings and equipment, progress of construction reports, trials reports and vessel performance reports at sea, vessel condition reports, and details of alterations post-commissioning. The earliest papers date from June 1896 and the last from August 1924, a few years before the three remaining vessels were put up for sale.
