Ships Cover for Pelorus class third class protected cruisers
Ships Cover for the Pelorus class third class cruisers HMS Pandora (1900), HMS Pelorus (1896), HMS Pegasus (1897), HMS Perseus (1897), HMS Pactolus (1896), HMS Pioneer (1899), HMS Pomone (1897), HMS Prometheus (1898), HMS Proserpine (1896), HMS Psyche (1898) and HMS Pyramus (1897). The documents mainly relate to the later design proposals, stability calculations, estimates and records of weights, items of correspondence between the Admiralty and the contractors, schemes of complement, papers relating to the vessels' engines and boilers, and some details of alterations once the ships were in service. The earliest papers date from May 1897 when construction work was well-advanced on most of the class and the last from December 1910 when all were in service.
