The documentation mainly comprises reports of vessel and equipment condition, details of defects and remedial action taken, trial reports for machinery and weapons, costings for the purchase of the Lairds stock Rivers, porposed alterations and stability calculations. The earliest papers date from September 1909 and the last from January 1919.
