Ships Cover for the Holland type, A class and B class submarines Nos 1-5 (1901-2), A1-A13 (1902-1905), and B1-B11 (1904-1906). The documentation in this Cover is quite general in nature, but does include details of fittings intended for the Holland boats, cost estimates and correspondence with Vickers, details of foreign torpedo boat and submersible developments, outline design requirements for the A and B classes, and precis of the discussions concerning ideal propulsion machinery and fuel. The earliest papers date from March 1901 and the last from January 1904.
