Ships Cover for submarines of all classes (1926-1938)
Ships Cover for submarines of the Grampus class (1935-1938), Odin class (1928), Oxley class (1926), Parthian class (1929), Rainbow class (1930), Shark class (1934-1937), Swordfish class (1931-1933) and Thames class (1932-1934). In addition to the broad classes the following individual submarines are also represented: HMS Oberon (1926) and HMS Porpoise (1932). The mix of documents is very eclectic and in some instances quite fragmentary, but general themes which dominate are details of fittings and equipment, miscellaneous equipment trial reports, details of alterations, reports of HMS Thames (1932)'s performance at sea, class design proposals and suggestions for future designs, and reports of relevant experimental work. The earliest papers date from September 1932 and the latest from January 1937.
