Ships Cover for yard craft assigned to foreign stations. The craft represented range from 20 ton barges to a 100 ton haulabout water tank and the stations affected are Ascension Island, the Cape of Good Hope, Gibraltar and Spectacle Island. The documentation in this very small Cover comprises justifications for purchase and specifications for the new craft required, along with abstracts of tenders and copies of the correspondence between the Admiralty and the contractors. The earliest papers date from May 1901 and the last from January 1912.
