Ships Cover for Adventure, Forward, Pathfinder and Sentinel class scout cruisers (1904-1905)
Ships Cover for the scout cruisers HMS Adventure (1904), HMS Attentive (1904), HMS Foresight (1904), HMS Forward (1904), HMS Pathfinder (1904), HMS Patrol (1904), HMS Sentinel (1904) and HMS Skirmisher (1905). The documentation mainly comprises schemes of complement, details of ships' equipment, fittings and stores, papers relating to alterations proposed and changes implemented, general trials reports including those for comparative steam trials, regular steam trials for individual ships, equipment tests, watertight and oiltight tests, and weapons trials. Further documents relate to vessel condition reports and stability calculations. The earliest papers date from July 1905 with the completion of the last one to enter service [HMS Skirmisher] and the last from June 1922, by which time HMS Pathfinder had been sunk and all save HMS Sentinel had been sold [the latter was sold in 1923].
