Ships Cover for the Lord Nelson class first class battleships HMS Agamemnon (1906) & HMS Lord Nelson (1906). The documentation mainly comprises papers covering the initial design proposals [including comparisons with contemporary British ships], statements of dimensions and estimates of weights, precis of discussions concerning ships fittings, machinery and equipment, proposed armour and protection scheme, and proposed armament suite, layout and ammunition allowance. The earliest papers date from July 1902 at the outset of the design process, and the last from September 1904 when details were still being finalised.
