Ships Cover for proposed Royal Yacht design
Ships Cover for a proposed Royal Yacht design. This was developed to the point where the name George and Mary was tentatively assigned, but the ship was ultimately not built. The papers include internal Admiralty correspoernce reporting on the views and requirements of the King and Queen, as well as letters and tender-related questions from several British shipbuilding companies invited to tender. The papers cover the period June 1938 to May 1939.
